Feed the Pup started with a question that got asked in one house three times a day: has anyone fed the dog? Someone always thought someone else had. Sometimes the pup got fed twice. Sometimes a walk got skipped because everyone assumed it was handled.
None of the existing apps fit. Pet trackers wanted a subscription and a wearable. Shared to-do lists needed too much upkeep. What the household actually needed was one shared log, a way to mark a feeding or walk in under a second, and a nudge when something slid.
So that's what Feed the Pup is. Open it, tap once, done. Everyone in the household sees the same history and gets the same alerts. If tapping through a phone is still too slow, a $10 kit of two NFC tags lets you log with a tap at the bowl or the door.
We keep it deliberately small. It costs $0.99 a year because it does one thing, and it should keep doing that one thing without nagging you to upgrade. Fed on time, walked on time, every time — by someone.
